SCCI maintains sound financial structure. It employs its assets in its loan portfolio to maximize earning potential. It also limits investment to fixed assets to keep overhead low. SCCI is most proud of not having accessed any grant to make its operations profitable and finance its portfolio. Liquidity level is also at a good level with SCCI showing ability to fulfill short term obligations.

The main challenge of SCCI is to increase leveraging its equity with liabilities. In the past three years, SCCI is only able to leverage one peso for every peso of its equity. SCCI plans to address this by intensifying mobilization of investments from Overseas Filipino Workers, Young Professionals and Philanthropists as well as commercial sources of fund.
