INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

Since November 2006, SEDPI started to embark on projects overseas. Trainings to migrant organization were delivered in partnership with Oxfam-Novib; Diploma in Microfinance was delivered to the management staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria ; module pilot test was conducted on financial education for remittane receivers with Microfinance Opportunities; and an organizational assesment was conducted commisioned by Cordaid.


LOCAL PROJECTS

Among others, SEDPI conducted ten trainings with the People's Credit and Finance Corporation (PCFC); evaluated the performance of the Private Enterprise Accelerated Resource Linkages Project - Phase 2 (PEARL2) on capacity building for industry networks and small and medium enterprises; and conducted impact assessment research for Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF) assisted microfinance institutions all over the Philippines.

 


TRAINING AND MENTORING ASSISTANCE

SEDPI crafted a longer term capability building program, usually six months to two years, for institutions under the training and mentoring assistance (TAMA). Three microfinance institutions undergoing TAMA are featured for the success of TAMA - the Agriculture and Rural Development for Catanduanes (ARDCI); Progressive Bank, Inc. (PBI); and Muntinlupa Development Foundation (MDF).
