STRATEGIC PLANNING

SEDPI adopts the Asian Institute of Management's framework for strategic planning. External and Internal Analysis are first conducted to enable management to assess its own institutional capacity as well as opportunities and threats in the environment. After which the vision, mission, objectives, key result areas, performance indicators, strategies, programs, activities, tasks and resources are formulated.

The strategic plan that SEDPI facilitated for the Kasanyangan Mindanao Foundation, Inc. (KFI), an MFI based in Zamboanga that specifically caters to hard-to-reach areas, was instrumental in the infusion of capital and capability building funds for expansion and improvement of operations. SEDPI recently facilitated the strategic planning for the Muntinlupa Development Foundation, Progressive Bank and the Agriculture and Rural Development for Catanduanes, Inc. These organizations are now able to track their performance every month and determine whether they are on track to achieve their objectives.
