ORGANIZATIONAL APPRAISAL

SEDPI has conducted over 25 MFI appraisals since 2004. Most of these appraisals were either requested by the MFIs themselves or by donor institutions.

Some of the MFIs appraised were Life Bank Foundation (LBF), Progressive Bank, Inc.. (PBI), Alliance for Philippine Partners in Enterprise Development Inc. (APPEND), Agricultural and Rural Development for Cataduances, Inc. (ARDCI), Federation of People’s Sustainable Development Cooperative (FPSDC), and Tulay sa Kaunlaran Inc. (TSKI). Plan International has also commissioned SEDPI's services to appraise Alalay sa Kaunlaran Inc.'s (ASKI) Financial Service Operations in Isabela.

Most of the MFIs that have undergone organizational appraisal were crucial to both the institutions themselves and the donor institutions. These usually spelled out continuation of partnerships or extension of capability building interventions. These led to desigining market-based financial products for microfinance clients; defining nad clarifying the niche of microfinance institutions; design continuing education to microfinance staff among others. SEDPI assists MFIs undergoing organizational appraisal to access funds from local and international funding sources.
